O Guru, Our Guiding Moon

O Guru, we are Your loving devotees,
Filled with pure and perfect love.
By Your word we are set free—
For You alone are the Witness, the All-in-All. ||1||

O Guru, though we are but children,
By the strength of Your grace
You fulfill our heart’s treasure—
The wealth of Yoga and Divine Knowledge. ||2||

O Guru, Perfect Moon of Wisdom,
You pour down showers of nectar;
We are like the chakor birds in longing,
Drinking deep from Your radiant light. ||3||

O Guru, Consciousness Supreme,
To us, the thirsty rainbirds,
You grant the downpour of knowledge,
Quenching our deepest thirst forever. ||4||

Says Nirmal Anandee:
“I have indeed a Mother—
None other than my Nityananda—
Who, by granting me the eternal bliss of the Self,
Lovingly cares for me on my spiritual path.” ||5||

O Gurudeva, we are Your devoted disciples, filled with a complete and unwavering love for You. Through Your sweet words of guidance and instruction, we find the sure path to liberation. You are the Witness to the total transformation taking place within us. ||1||

O Guru-Mother, we are indeed Your children—our strength comes solely from Your grace. It is by the power of Your compassion, kindness, and the gift of Yoga-knowledge that You fulfill the deepest desires of our hearts. ||2||

O revered Guru, You are the Full Moon of perfect wisdom. The nectar of Your words and the radiance of Your knowledge shower down upon us abundantly. We are like the mythological Chakor birds, who gaze only at the moon, ignoring all darkness around them, living solely on its beams. In the same way, we yearn only for the light of Your grace, longing to behold Your divine form. ||3||

O Guru, You are the cloud of pure Consciousness. Just as merciful clouds pour rain to quench the thirst of the Chatak bird, which drinks only drops falling directly from the heavens, so too, O Gurudeva, may You shower upon us the rain of divine knowledge to satisfy our intense thirst for spiritual attainment. ||4||

Says Nirmal Anandee: “Indeed, I have a Mother—none other than my Nityananda—who, by bestowing on me the eternal bliss of the Self, lovingly protects and sustains me on my spiritual journey.” ||5||

O Sadguru, Giver of Unbroken Bliss

O Sadguru, You are the very Self itself,
Bestowing unbroken, eternal joy.
How could any devotee without longing for You
Ever reach the state of non-dual Truth? ||1||

Remaining within, unseen,
You remove ignorance and fear;
With compassion, You inspire true knowledge,
And reveal the Supreme Reality to the seeker. ||2||

By teaching the path of Yoga,
You strip away the greed for possessions;
You turn the mind from sensual indulgence,
And burn away the pains of worldly sorrow. ||3||

By destroying selfish desires,
You kindle the will for desirelessness;
You grant the strength of detachment,
And inspire the seeker with the light of wisdom. ||4||

Says Nirmal Anandee:
“I remember my Mother, Nityananda—
With steadfast meditation upon Her true form,
She alone swiftly protects and cares for me.” ||5||

The Sadguru is none other than the Self within us—my own Atman is my Sadguru! It is He who bestows the eternal joy of pure Consciousness. To the devotee who has unconditionally surrendered, He inspires a vigorous pursuit of Truth and leads him to attain the state of non-duality. ||1||

Ever abiding in the heart of His devotee, He dispels the fear born of ignorance. He awakens in us the light of Absolute Knowledge and reveals that the same Consciousness pervades all beings. Thus, He teaches the disciple to be compassionate towards all. ||2||

By initiating the disciple into Yoga, the Sadguru guides him to abandon greed and turn away from sensual pleasures, while gaining the strength to endure and transcend sorrow. ||3||

He destroys the root of desire by inspiring the devotee to withdraw from all outward cravings and embrace the spirit of renunciation. When the disciple is thus prepared, the Sadguru imparts the realisation of the Absolute. ||4||

Says Nirmal Anandee: “Know for certain that Nityananda is truly our Mother—protecting, nurturing, and caring for us. Therefore, meditate upon Him with unwavering faith and devotion.” ||5||

In Surrender to the Guru

To Shree Guru I go for refuge,
And thus my life is fulfilled.
Freed from all fatigue and toil,
I sing His glorious virtues. ||1||

By the Guru’s word, at all times,
The mind remains absorbed in meditation.
He fulfills the noble wishes
Of all His devoted seekers. ||2||

The Guru’s grace is an endless ocean—
To the loving devotee,
He quickly releases him from bondage
And fills the mind with noble thoughts. ||3||

Says Nirmal Anandee:
“I meditate on Nityananda, the Yogi—
Pure Consciousness, Bliss Absolute,
Permeating all as the solid mass of Consciousness.” ||4||

Let us unconditionally surrender to our Sadguru and feel truly blessed. Forgetting all stress and fatigue, let us sing His glories with joy. ||1||

When we keep our mind constantly absorbed in the words and instructions of the Sadguru, meditating on them with full attention, He fulfils all our sincere and heartfelt aspirations. ||2||

The Guru is an inexhaustible fountain of unconditional grace and blessings for His devotees. He liberates them from worldly expectations by awakening the understanding that both pleasure and pain are transient. ||3||

Says Nirmal Anandee: “I ceaselessly meditate on Nityananda, the Yogi—embodiment of Absolute Knowledge (Chinmaya), the Blissful One (Chidanandee), and the All-pervading presence in the infinite Sky of Consciousness (Chid-ghan-vyapee).” ||4||
