Form of the Guru

Out of love for every heart,
The Guru takes a human part;
In gentle play, His leelas flow,
Granting bhakti’s fire and moksha’s glow.

Through Raja Yoga’s sacred art,
He joins the seeker’s soul and heart;
Reveals the bliss the Self bestows,
And peace where deepest silence grows.

Not Agama nor Veda’s song
Can speak His greatness deep and strong;
Through dhyana’s gaze and dharana’s hold,
The highest Truth to you unfolds.

Nirmalanandee’s words are clear —
Meditate, keep His teaching near;
With steadfast faith, His light will show,
Your Self — the One you’ve longed to know.

1. It is solely out of His infinite love for His devotees that the Sadguru takes form (Avatara) in this world. In His boundless compassion, He enacts divine plays (leela) and events, making both devotion (bhakti) and liberation (moksha) accessible to all who turn to Him.

2. He initiates His devotees into the disciplines of Raja Yoga, imparting practices through which they can directly taste the bliss of pure Consciousness — a state of infinite peace and stillness beyond the mind.

3. The greatness of this gift is such that even the sacred Tantras (Agama) and Vedas (Nigama) cannot fully express or comprehend it. By His grace, through the twin paths of meditation (dhyana) and concentration (dharana), the devotee is led to the Supreme Knowledge.

4.  Says Nirmalanandee: “Only by meditating upon your Sadguru with unwavering faith and complete surrender to His words and instructions will you come to realise your own true Self — the eternal truth: ‘I am That.’”

Eternal Guide

The Sadguru saves, forever near,
Dispelling worldly doubt and fear;
All restless ways to stillness bend,
In His own form, all joys ascend.

He plants desirelessness within,
Bestows contentment deep and thin;
In formless truth, the bliss we find
Is nectar of the purest kind.

He trains the mind in wisdom’s art,
Reveals the treasure of the heart;
Unites the self with Self’s own flame,
And seats us in our rightful name.

The disciple, in his gaze, will stay,
In endless joy, both night and day;
When knowledge flows, the heart’s at rest,
In peace, by inner truth caressed.

Says Nirmalanandee, clear and true:
“Think on Nityananda’s view;
Forever full, content you’ll be,
In Self’s own joy eternally.”

1. The Sadguru is indeed the true Saviour, ever protecting the devotee from the restless waves of worldly existence (bhava). By His grace, He transforms our attitudes and tendencies, turning them inward so we may experience the light of our own Consciousness.

2. He keeps us free from attachment to the fleeting pleasures and pains of the world, and leads us to the state of eternal contentment and fulfilment. Though His form is beautiful and deeply attractive, He is most profoundly experienced in the formless (nirguna) state, where the bliss of pure Consciousness shines.

3. With patience and compassion, He trains the mind to incline towards the Self. In this way, He enables the direct experience of our inner reality, and finally merges the devotee into His own Self — where Shiva and Jiva are one — honouring the seeker with union in His divine being.

4. He awakens in the disciple a constant awareness of the boundless joy within. As divine knowledge dawns, the heart naturally rests in peace and tranquillity.

5.  Says Nirmalanandee: “One who meditates on Sadguru Nityananda dwells forever in the state of contentment, and is blessed with the joy of pure Consciousness.”

To the Mother Guru

At Your feet, O Mother Guru, I surrender all,
You are the Saviour who hears the helpless call;
With the nectar of knowledge, You nourish and raise,
Guarding the child in Your tender ways.

Your love is strong, it fills the soul,
Making the broken heart once more whole;
Beholding Your form, so gentle, so bright,
Quenches my hunger and gives me delight.

Come swiftly running, O Mother divine,
To see if Your little one is safe and fine;
Your words are blossoms of bliss and grace,
Ever they bloom in Your warm embrace.

Within and without, we await Your sight,
Watching for You in the day and night;
In all directions our longing flows,
And in that prayer, our spirit grows.

Come in compassion, grant us Your gaze,
At Your feet forever our hearts we place;
Holding to You in unbroken devotion,
We live in the tide of Your love’s ocean.

Nirmalanandee sings with joy,
“O Nityananda, O Mother’s envoy,
For the meek and lost, You are the One —
The only Mother, the eternal Sun.”

  1. The devotee surrenders completely to the Guru, addressed here as the Divine Mother. She is the true Savior who protects and nurtures Her children, feeding them with the nectar of Divine Knowledge.

2. The children’s love for the Mother is deep and total, binding them completely to Her. Simply beholding Her tender and loving form removes all hunger for worldly pleasures.

3. The devotee calls upon the Mother to come swiftly, bringing comfort and care. Her sweet words, spoken with love, are the constant nourishment of the children’s hearts.

4. The devotees wait for Her both inwardly (stilling the mind) and outwardly (remaining alert), searching for Her in all directions, and staying continuously in prayer.

5. The plea continues for the merciful and compassionate Mother to arrive soon and grant Her sacred darshan. The devotees resolve to remain at Her feet, offering unbroken devotion.

6.  Nirmalanandee concludes: “My Sadguru is the one and only true Mother for the helpless and orphaned.”
