The Darshana:
Thousands gathered after 1955. Many used to come before 1955, but with better transport and lodging & boarding, the number of devotees increased. Till He was in Vaikuntha, there were no doors. He was freely available there but in Kailash, there were timings for Darshan. Long queues were often there, especially on Thursdays and Sundays. In the case of His devotees, they took Thursday and Sundays as days of the week dedicated to his worship unlike in the case of other Guruparampara where mostly it is Thursday.
When the queue was long, they often sat at the door of Kailash so that many could get to have Darshan of Him. He sat on a bench with Appana, Gopalanna, Mashav mama, and Monappa at His service guiding the devotees to facilitate smooth Darshan. He did not patronize any attendant and hence nobody wielded power and took advantage of any short or favoritism.
He sat on the bench while devotees made offerings. He distributed anything that was offered to all the devotees. Some He addressed and spoke to them, even if they were first-timers on what purpose they had come to Him for solutions. He gave them comfort.
I too have stood there in the line and I am still in it, Waiting for The Door to Open!
